Rev. Dr. R.C. Ghunakumar was an instrument used by God to commence Living Hope Theological College as part fulfilment of the vision he had on 30^th August 1992. After completing his Theological studies at South India Biblical Seminary, he served as a Pastor in a Baptist Church. Later he joined Scripture Union and ministered among children and youth for seven years as an Area Director. His ministry continued with Vacation Bible School ministries as a promotional secretary and National Director. After his further studies at Wesley Biblical Seminary in USA, God gave him a unique vision to reach the unreached through different ministries of the gospel. As a result thousands of Christian leaders have been fashioned and over a thousand villages have been reached through relentless ministry of Rev. Dr. R.C. Ghunakumar. He is the founder president of the Living Hope Theological College.     

In 1994 with the burden to train the young people for effective ministry, 6 months Bible training programme was commenced at mount Zion, Cholapuram south, Rajapalayam Taluk, Tamil Nadu. Later during 1997 one year Bible training program was added and from 2000 onwards 3 years B.Th. program was introduced. In the year 2007 M.Div. program was also introduced.
